Coeur d'Alene Parkinson's Support Group & Caregivers Group
The Coeur d’Alene Parkinson’s Support Group is for men and women with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers. It is free. We meet from 12:00 -2:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month at the Elks Lodge,
1170 West Prairie Avenue. We offer information and emotional support, and often have speakers from the medical community.
NEW TIME! On the days we meet at the Elks, a complementary lunch will be served from 12:00 to 12:45 P.M. Please come and socialize. The group meeting will start at 1:00 P.M. and go until 2:30.
Next meeting is on May 2nd.
Guest Speaker: AC Woolnough – he is going to speak about the Pass to
Pass program, which is for hikers with Parkinson’s. They
provide volunteers to help out and have day hikes as well
as overnights.

Music and Wellness
We meet on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. This is a great group for increasing the volume of your voice and helping with the clarity of your speech. Our certified music therapist, Carla Carnegie, is a lot of fun and brings rhythm instruments to keep everyone involved. No singing ability needed. We are currently meeting at the Elks Lodge at 1170 West Prairie Avenue, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Moving to the Music
This is a super fun, easy line dance type class that meets on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is held at the Elk’s. Lodge, 1170 West Prairie Avenue, Coeur d’Alene. Come and participate to whatever degree you are able. Wheelchairs and walkers are okay. Just do what you can and enjoy the music and comradery.
This month’s classes are on May 9, 16, 23 and 30.
Socialization and consistent exercise have been proven to slow the progression of Parkinson’s.

Women with Parkinson's Support Group
We meet every 3rd Thursday from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at MacKenzie River Pizza at 405 West Canfield Avenue, Coeur d’Alene. It is a great get-together for women with Parkinson’s to socialize, lend emotional support and share information.
We have a Scholarship Fund to buy your lunch if there is a financial need. Let Bonnie or Beth know before ordering.

Balloon Badminton
Yes, there really is a game called Balloon Badminton. It is a lot of
fun when you get a lot of balloons going and a lot of people out there.
Please join us on the 2nd, 3rd and 5th Thursdays of the month at the
Elks Lodge, 1140 W. Prairie, CDA at 1:00 p.m.
